From timeless, ballet flats, to luxurious velvet or animal printed loafers - their range includes a mix of classic wardrobe essentials to eclectic, one-of-a-kind stand-out pieces. Each design is manufactured in limited quantities and only the finest leather, suede, linen, and other natural fabrics are used to create their luxury shoe line. When founder Frances Edwards returned from Europe, she was unable to find any beautiful designed, high-quality shoes at affordable prices in South Africa. Frances is extremely passionate about supporting local talent and believes supporting local manufactures and craftspeople, above imported items is the way to go.
Her range is not only hand-crafted by talented South African entrepreneurs but House of Cinnamon is also involved in supporting three social responsibility programs. Their 'House of Cinnamon Shoe Project’ accepts worn but wearable shoes for the Nkhensani Orphanage based in Alexandra, by offering customers a “one-pair-for-one-pair” 20% discount for donating shoes, when purchasing a pair of Cinnamons. They also sponsor children's schooling needs through the Bakomoso Education Trust and they have partnered with the Two Oceans Aquarium in the efforts of trying to combat environmental degradation and conserve oceanic wildlife, by producing a bamboo shopper.
