There’s something beautiful about taking a block of clay and playing with it: moulding, carving, and pinching to reveal a unique creation. When Durbanite Melissa McMahon took up pottery in 2017 it was love at the first firing. But as with many hobbies, it quickly took a back seat to parenting and being an adult. When South Africa began its strict lockdown in 2020, she set up a little studio in her garage and Passionfruit Ceramics was born.
