Studio Dayna-Gay

Dayna-Gay Tate is a Zimbabwe-born artist and photographer living and working in Cape Town. She describes herself as a prolific documenter, deeply inspired and affected by her experiences in Creation. As a painter, she enjoys exploring colour, light and form culminating in abstract pieces that delight with harmonic tones and interesting shapes. Themes of nature, home, light and time often occur in her work, and through it, she hopes to inspire joy, rest, slowness, playfulness and reconnection. Browsing through her collection you cannot help but feel a sense of optimism and hope, and that’s exactly what Dayna-Gay intends. In her words: “May you feel something eternally good as you make your way through the colours.”
